My Story

Hi! I’m Ryan Martin, a nonprofit executive and consultant serving nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations within the Environmental and Education spaces. With a career spanning teaching, executive leadership, and strategic consulting, I help mission-driven organizations navigate change, develop impactful programs, and secure funding to advance their work.

I began my career as a public high school life science teacher, where I built an award-winning program rooted in project-based learning. Since then, I’ve served in several consulting and executive leadership roles—developing a deep appreciation for helping organizations navigate pivotal moments and drive meaningful change. 

I now lead Interim & Impact, a consulting practice offering:

• Interim & Strategic Leadership during transitions, launches, or turnarounds.
   
• Grant & Proposal Writing for private, state, and federal funding sources.
   
• Program Development from idea to rollout. 

I bring a mix of boots-on-the-ground experience and systems-level thinking. I’ve managed small and large teams, overhauled org charts, balanced budgets, and helped boards navigate tough decisions. Having led through a pandemic, federal funding freeze, audits, and more, I’m especially effective in high-change environments where organizations need realignment.

 I’m lucky to be raising two happy, healthy kids with my wife Jessi, a public health nurse. We spend our free time growing food, camping, playing music and planning our next adventure.
